Desiccant Filters - Walk In Coolers & Refrigeration Cases

Humidity filters for walk in coolers and refrigeration case rack units.

Desiccant filter panels are highly effective in controlling moisture build-up and humidity, causing compressors to run more efficiently thus saving energy without any mechanical means.

There is no more important application for Pectin acids and Ethylene gas control in a food service area. Desiccant filters absorb these gases in turn increasing food life and preventing corrosion.

Desiccant filter panels are easily installed into existing and new walk-in and merchandise coolers.

Desiccant filter panels are low in profile and installed out of the way of merchandise.
Custom made designs are also available.

Benefits of Desiccant Filters

-Stay compliant with HACCP and USDA                  -Removes Ethylene Gases and Pectin Acids
-Reduces defrost cycles by up to 50%                     -Reduces the spread of harmful bacteria
-Increases life of compressor motors                        -Reduces transfer of odors
-Extends food life in power failure                             -Absorbs up to 48% of it’s weight in humidity
-Saves electricity by decreasing usage                     -Lowers temperature of refrigerated enclosures

Energy Savings from Desiccant Filter Test

Independent electrical and energy conservation testing on 2 typical convenience store walk-in coolers
with consumer case access.  The resulting data was astounding for the amount of energy usage that
was reduced by installing the desiccant filter panels, which allowed the units compressors to work less.

Cost Savings Summary  of Testing Site #1  (High volume traffic location)
Comparison testing revealed that there was a reduction down
to
.0540 KWH per hour for each degree of Fahrenheit with
the panels installed, resulting in a savings of $93.22 for the 30 days.

Cost Savings Summary  of Testing Site #2 (Medium volume traffic location)
Comparison testing revealed that there was a reduction down
to
.0334 KWH per hour for each degree of Fahrenheit with the
panels installed, resulting in a savings of $69.75 for the 30 days.

*Test Data revealed that each locations cooler experienced
a drop of 5 degrees each with the panels installed.

This makes room for the potential of rolling the temperature up
on each cooler which would possibly result in even more savings.
