Heavy
Metal Stabilizer TM does a remarkable job of making
the contaminated soil or water environmentally safe. The
patented liquid
blend of ionized silicates breaks down the hydrocarbon
elements and renders them harmless. In all past cases,
contaminated water was allowed to be disposed in local sewers
or drainage systems.
Contaminated soil was determined to be safe - no removal or
further remediation required. Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM
has also proven effective as a sealant to stop the leaching of
pre-treated lumber, including railroad ties treated with
creosote. As a degreaser on engines, concrete or other
applications, It is particularly unique in that it renders the
residue environmentally safe. Aeration, agitation, or
soil mixing may be required, depending on the scope of the
job.

Heavy
Metal Stabilizer TM for recent spills, as well as
for continuous or aged contamination, is an in situ
remediation solution that is value engineered to reduce costs
and improve the quality of reclamation services provided.
With the use of another product in the same line --
Hydrocarbon Stabilizer TM -- remediators can
clean a site typically to non-detect levels after a month’s
time without having to haul out contaminated soil, pay
hazardous waste dump fees, haul in fill dirt, or create
bio-mounds. Hydrocarbon Stabilizer TM is also
effective on contamination that has breached ground or surface
water without harming the ecosystem that exists. The
cost
to remedy a contaminated site and comply with environmental
regulations has been largely reduced with these two
products.
Some of the benefits of Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM
are:
Lead
paint is one of the leading causes of lead contamination.
Paint and other building materials that contain
lead can be treated with a topical application. Heavy
Metal Stabilizer TM will penetrate paints and
putties and remediate the contamination in situ allowing for
safe removal. Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM can be
applied by a hand sprayer or power sprayer, inside and outside
buildings and residences. The product can be used on water, in
soil and on structures. One gallon covers approximately
500 square feet of surface area. Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM
is a non-toxic liquid solution that makes lead and other heavy
metal contaminated materials safe for handling
and disposal by molecularly binding with the contaminant.
The Difference….Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM is a
blend of environmentally friendly compounds, which display
no hazardous waste characteristics either by ignitability,
corrosivity or reactivity. The product is not altered
chemically and will not form harmful intermediates when
blended with hazardous chemicals. Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM
conforms to “non-hazardous substances” defined under the
Clean Water Act, RCRA, the Clean
Air Act, and TSCA. It is not a carcinogen and is not
listed on OSHA, IARC, or NTP Monograms. It also
passes the 48-hour Acute Toxicity Bioassay at 12.5%
concentration for both fathead minnow and Daphnia pulex.
Environmentally Safe Waste Disposal. Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM
uses the silicates in our product to tie up the heavy metals.
This is an inexpensive way to enhance the performance of many
processes. Soluble silica reacts with all multivalent
cationic metal ions to form the corresponding insoluble metal
silicate. These multivalent cationic metal ions include:
• Calcium
• Manganese
• Magnesium
• Cadmium
• Zinc
• Copper
• Iron
• Nickel
• Lead
• Chromium
• Steel
• Galvanized Steel
• Bronze
• Red Brass
• Yellow Brass
• Nickel Alloys
• Cast Iron & Ferrous Metals
Silicates will precipitate these metals out of solution and
render them insoluble and non-reactive. The reactant
by product normally displays long-term stability. The
bond formed can be broken only by extremely aggressive
action. Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM uses all
environmentally friendly formulations. It is non-toxic so it
will not harm the atmosphere. Our product is unique in
the fact that it has the combined properties of a liquid and
the properties of a solid. This unique combination
allows the user to seal and coat in the same
application.

ArklaTex
Analytical Services Results:
Testing
done by ArklaTex Analytical Services showed a reduction in
detectable lead contamination after a 48-hour
“curing”. The soil was sampled according to SW 846
methodology. An extended 18 hour EPA 1311 leachate
protocol revealed a final reduction to 0.48 ppm or 98.8%
from an initial level of 41 ppm. Typically, leaching of
lead is reduced by 90% to 97%. It is not yet clear how
long Heavy Metal Stabilizer TM will encapsulate
the lead, but testing to date indicates a lifetime of up
to 200 years.
